Consider this thread dead. Several of the list members who contributed to
it nearly went along with it. If there is anything ON topic that hasn't
been resolved already in this thread, please feel free to move it to a
new thread.

Some of those involved in this thread were walking a very fine line
between spirited disagreement and an outright personal attack. Please try
to keep the line a bit wider in the future. I'm not terribly tolerant
most times.
