Excellent. Thanks a lot for the help, people!

Oh, one last thing. There are no ASIST biofeedback filters that
can be installed on a vehicle, are there? During my old char's last run
(that is, before we got away with our target then got ritually traced back;
which ended up with me being captured -- it's a long story and the most
disastrous run I've ever been involved into, we lost 1.17 characters; quote
the GM "It was supposed to be an easy one"), our team's shaman figured the
only way to stop our extraction target from getting away would be to zap
the vehicle with the most powerful lightning spell he could cast (T-Bird
shamans. Aren't they subtle).
It worked, and when we opened the burning wreck that lay crashed
ten meters below we found out that the rigger controlling the vehicle was
on the driver's seat. On the passenger's seat, too. And on the windshield.
And on BOTH doors. ASIST backlash. Gotta love it (no control pool to resist
it, ne?).
I haven't started playing my rigger yet, but I suspect the GM will
try to pull that on me very soon and I was wondering if there was a way to
prevent my body's er... molecular cohesion from breaking too easily...

You can have a remote-control biofeedback filter if you want, described on
page 96 of Rigger 3. This provides "armor" equal to twice its rating
against ASIST backlash. (Quite why they didn't halve the cost and let it
give armor equal to its full rating, I don't know, though...)

Yeah, but R/C biofeedback filters are listed under "Remote Control
Deck Accessories" (hence the name). So it seems that according to the rules
you can't use them on vehicles you jack directly into (since they're not
R/C'd anyway). Why it wouldn't be possible to install the exact same
circuitry in a rigger black box is beyond me, though. Well. I think I'll
ask my GM...

I'd allow that, certainly -- like you say, why _wouldn't_ it be possible?
Hell, if the GM doesn't allow it, you could always fit remote-control gear
into your car and sit in the driver's seat with your RC deck...

*grins* Good call. Heck, it'd even be cheaper since the
biofeedback filters are already in the deck. And with the deck connected to
an electronics port, MIJI is not even a problem!
