Okay, I've been busy and might have missed this thread
if it's ever came up. Here goes:

Just how fast (or slow) does an elf age? Do they age
like normal kids until their say 18 and just have a
longer life span? Aging 1 year for every 2 or some
thing?

I know Orks and Trolls age at a pretty accelerated rate
and Dwarfs tend be similar to Elves.

body decides it is
sufficiently beautiful enough and then stays there for the rest of
eternity.
normally i would say dwarves get old and stay that way, but shadowrun
dwarves (from artists' renditions) i think are a bit different.
Dwarves probably live for about a hundred and some odd years. I don't
think their extended life is due to a perfection gene, i think it's just
due to the fact that their so blasted stubborn.
power to the dwarves!

I'd say they age just a bit slower than humans. Maybe hit puberty 3 or 4
years later than humans. As for after that, I'm not real sure. No elves
were born before 2011 (I'm not going into the Immortal Elves or the
Earthdawn ones), so there aren't exactly that many old ones. I suppose as
the average life span for an elf is several hundred years, (say 250 years),
and the average life span of a human is say, 80 years, then elves age, they
age about 3 times slower than humans (250/80 = 3.125).

Dwarves are only meant to live until they are about 150 or so (from
memory), so they would age quicker than elves, but slower than humans.
However, dwarves tend to look a lot older than they are (if you buy the
stereotype).

AFAIK, they sort of age like humans until their late teens, and then it
just sort of almost stops. A 40-year-old elf will look like a human of
maybe 20 years old.

Dwarfs would age a bit faster, SRII states their life span is estimated to
be well over a hundred years, while for elves it's guesstimated at several
hundred. From ED, dwarfs live about 100 years, with some living to 150.
Elves average around 300 years, some going on to 400, and "legends speak"
of ones living longer than that.
