All military vehicles in SR will need some form of magical
protection , so ...
Light vehicles.
the living skin idea doesnt work well vs attacks (fire element
can burn through) but it can allow a mage inside to put dice
onto spell defence for the vehicle.

ALL MILITARY UNITS WILL HAVE TO RE-ORGANISE
ie unit leader, communications, heavy weapon(MG), support weapon
(GL) medic, electronics, grunts (2-3) , shaman, mage.
10 man squad
In battlefeild conditions the mage does the heavy combat while
the shaman does spirits / defence

heavy vehicles
these will have elements charged with guarding them, and mages
in the crew.

Aircraft
air elements /sky spirits to aid speed/manuvering.
air/fire for anti missile duty

The aircraft carrier
4-5 kilometres long...several thousand crew.
So it'll have a Mage officer and a crew of mages, a 'cap' of
mages astrial and more ready to help .All will be carrying/ have
access to VERY HIGH LEVEL power/weapon focuses (that military
budget again) .
The mage officers will have there own magic circle and initiate
group, and a top of the range (lv 10+ )hermetic circle and
library.
There will be lots of elementals, some guarding locations,
others guarding each crewman from magical attack. Normal crew
will be force3+, with bridge crew getting 4-5 elements of force
8+ to watch them.
The ships shamen (note the plural) will be communicating with
the spirits of the ship, the sky and the sea in relays, asking
them about spys, planes and subs incoming, stopping
accidents,checking security.
The shamen will have specially prepared areas to set up lodges
and high level foceses...

No players can touch this sorta thing...

Sorry for not quoting, but since when have aircraft carriers been 4 to 5
kilometers long?? 350 meters is a lot more realistic. A 4 km aircraft
carrier could have two full-length runways end to end on it!

Excuse me, I agree with Gurth. Four kilometres is just plain -wrong-. I think
the USS Nimitz is about 410 metres, and that is with all the support structures
and stuff. A runway length of about 350 metres is fairly accurate...now where
is my copy of /Jane's Fighting Ships/...
