Uhm ... Why would it be easier? Because said target would have fewer
successes because the Soriginal spell casting T# was higher? Wouldn't
your TN# for reflective shielding be higher though too?

I got your defensive amulet right here. (See below)

Wait ... You want something that does LESS than a Power Foci to cost
MORE?

Okay, Defensive Amulets:
Version 1: Sustaining Focus for an Armor spell.

Version 2: Quicken/Anchor armor spell (Works like a Sust. Foci but more
permanent/durable).

Okay, here's the new stuff :)
Version 3: Spell Defense Foci. Creates a Pool of (rating) dice that can
only be used for Spell Defense. The standard version works normally, but
the personal version can only be used to provide Spell Defense for the
User.

Foci Type Availability Cost St Ind Karma Cost
Standard 5/48 hours Force x 45,000 2 2 x Force
Personal 4/48 hours Force x 30,000 2 1 x Force (1.5 x Force?)

Note: If the user is intiated, these dice can act as standard or
reflective shielding.

Voila. Armor Foci. :)

The caster of the spell would have a higher TN, hence fewer successes.
That makes it easier to equal or beat them with your reflective shielding
(Magic pool VS spell force, per Awakenings). No, your "shielding /
resistance" TN would not go up, because you are not casting a spell across
a ward (and likely would have created the ward). In fact, afaik, wards
have no effect on dispelling or spell defense attempts (or banishing /
control contests), except to block astral sight (they are astrally
opaque).
