Uh... I disagree. It only limits you if you yourself are stupid and
unimaginative , as in any RPG. In ShadowRun, there are no RP guidelines
which can lead to rather chaotic and inconsistent RPing (what, is
everyone suddenly a multiple personality case??? =) ). Note the books=
stated quite clearly that you could CHANGE YOUR ALIGNMENT at any point
in your character's career.. The only limiting factor of the alignment
was that it ruined special character classes. Like Paladins for
instance. Remember, you got to choose your alignment AND character class a=
t
character creation, and the alignment gave you a guideline as to how to
play your character. I admit, the system overall is rather restrictive,
but it's still fun enough.
And about stereotypes? Nope, I never had that problem. Paladins
don't have to be innocent and naive, you know; I never played them like
that. Mine were -quite- aware of the existence of evil in the world. =)=
Enough with discussing games that are not ShadowRun, or at least
don't bad mouth another RPG just because you don't like the system, cause=
other smo's like me might enjoy playing them as well... ;)
