*yawn* <-- Insert pretty music, something like 'Rite of Spring'.

What a glorious day. The sun is shining brighly. The few birds that
haven't migrated south are singing sweetly. The warm body to my right
sleeps soundly. What a great day to be alive.

Perhaps I'll log into the computer and see what happy things have
transpired during my nocturnal absence. *click* *wrrr wrrr* *clickity
clickity*

Hmmm . . . . 'you have 356 new mail messages'.....

'ARRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!'

The warm body on my bed stirs and opens one eyeball quizically.

"What is wrong?"
"I have thirty megabytes of mail in my spool!"
"Ouch! What happened, did someone mail you a bunch of programs?"
"Worse, some asshole mailed a bunch of 100k programs to the mailing
list. And I have a note to see the system admin ASAP, if not sooner!"
"Ouch!"

------------------------------------------

I'm pissed.

Very pissed.

Sending two copies of those postscript files was totally uncalled for.
There are only a handful of people that can actually use them, and many
more that don't even know how to decode them. The worst part about it is
that the list gets spammed with 1MB of semi-useless files, but then I
have to deal with 29 megabytes of mail bouncing off of people who have
had their accounts, or even their entire system mail spool, blown off the
map.

I do not like having to walk into the system administrators office and
explain to her why I have 30 megs of mail in my spool, leaving the rest
of the system with ONLY 2 MEGS!

*ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

These files would have been much better off on an FTP site. There are
thousands of them out there and with a little intelligent thinking, I bet
you could have even found one.

If anyone ever pulls this shit again, I will pull your subscription so
fast it will make lightspeed seem like a sunday drive. Furthermore, i will
contact your sysadmin and explain to him how you are mail bombing 200+
people with only semi-useful material.

Yes, I'm pissed.
