]cannot see or understand how to do things the other way. I view Shadowrun
]magic in a very holistic way; the character I propose does so as well.

a couple things:
1) Holistic way... wouldn't that make him more of a shamanic type, but with a
previously-unknown Totem? (Like crystal?:)

2) By that same reasoning, you could have a magic user that could run in the
matrix without penalties. It says that regularly, a mage takes pluses, due to
the different mindsett. Would this guy be able to deck without penalties, too?
