OK, I hope this isn't too much of a spoiler, but it does raise an interesting
point: Who says your homonculus has to be human-shaped? Why not put him in
your Westwind, or, for the truly psychotic, in your Panther cannon?

Well, I'm pretty sure it could be done, but I seem to recall (and I'm sure
I'll be corrected if I'm wrong) that it would have to be a specially made
and enchanted item. I don't think the mage could walk down to the local
boat shop or the pier and decide that the little sail boat would make a
dandy ally spirit and us it.

Now if the magician wanted to make the entire craft himself (whether it be
a boat or a blade, a car or a cannon), then I suppose it could be done.
It'd be a variation on the humanoid golem theme I would guess. I don't
think it would be anywhere near worth the trouble though.

The entire concept of "making an inhabitation form for the ally" has come up
before I think a LONG time ago. We do allow such, but things get kind-of
strange depending on what is done. The best thing we've done here is take
either Free Spirit of Man or Free Elementals and given them vehicles as
"Personal Domains", and particular parts of the vehicle as a "Hidden
Life".

Yes, Christine has a major influence upon me.
