Sounds good to me. Hiya, Erik. You probably don't know me.... I've been on
and of the list since, oh, two months before you signed off. And I don't post
enough, I guess....

Okay, in order to welcome Erik to the list, I'm going to risk starting a
contravircy (sp?).

How real should we be with our runs? Check out the "Local Terrorist" articles
on my website at www.crosswinds.net/toronto/~kristling/ (forewarned that the
index page is slow due to crosswinds having to wait a while to get another
T1, but their a damn bit mor reliable then Geocities). Am I being to
realistic?

I used these articles with MY group and none of them that I know of have gone
psycho. Is realism dependent on a groups maturity? Should I put a warning on
my site? How do we balance "the creative urge" with social responsablity?
Should we?
Till next we meet. I reamain as my sig states,

I love games dripping with detail. I also deman lots of internal
consistency. As long as the GM has a rational reason behind what happens
in a game, I can cope with almost any kind of misfortune as a player
(whether my character can cope is another story). I hate arbitrary
rulings, NPC only "character classes" or rules, and anything else in the
game done simply because the GM wanted to do something but couldn't come
up with a rational explanation for doing it.

Yup... a lot of things are dependant on the maturity of the players. And
by "maturity" I include experience. New roleplayers tend towards mindless
mayhem, it takes a bit of experience before they discover the other
aspects of the game. We also change with age. Older players tend to have
different interests than younger players... it's just they way people are.

Balance... you could write a book on that one word. Should you, games
should always be balanced. It's how you balance them that more often
comes into question.
