This is a quote from the acknowledgements of Blaine
Lee Pardoe's latest BattleTech novel. Well, not the
latest, actually - it's from Roar of Honour, which is
number 2 in the series of 3. We got it last over here,
though, for some reason.

Anyway, he says:

"Finally, to the BattleTech fans. One thing is for
sure, they are a loyal lot, though some take it a mite
too seriously. Remember, folks, it's pretty doubtful
that three-storey, humanoid, robotic war machines are
going to be running around in the thirty-first
century. The idea is supposed to be fun, and I hope
you find that kind of fun in this book. If you don't,
no doubt you'll roast me on the Internet. Such is
life..."

I think there's something in that for all of us...

that reminds me, I've been out of the BTech loop for some time now, what's
going on at the moment? Last i read was when Victor became Precentor
MArtial for ComStar (that was fraggin hilarious!)
