I know it feels like someone's died, I feel it too. But I think this may
actually be a good thing for Shadowrun as a game. The key, I think, is to
let Whizkids know what they can do to bring this phoenix back from the
ashes.
Without the baggage of all the other games Fasa had under it's belt,
maybe the new owners will be able to change the way things work. I say, lets
let Whizkids know that they got a great game with a loyal following. Lets
tell them how excited we are that there is a new hand in charge of the line.
Lets NICELY let them know what the fans want from the game.
The first step in assessing a new acqusition like this is to look at the
user base and see what the old management did wrong. If they're reassessing
lets all speak up and let them know what we think. Point them to this list.
Point them to Dumpshock. Fasa was just starting to actually listen to us
when they went under. Lets not let Whizkids miss that opportunity.

From past dealings (failed merger with Decipher) I think the
ownership was more tired of things than FASA really failing (although
those things are often tied together). Now bragging about them listening
to us before going under, that just sounds bad for us. Think about it.

Ancient cultures believed that names held great power, personal names
more so and they were guarded very closely. To protect themselves, they
answered to another name, because if another discovered their real name,
it could be used against them.
History repeats itself.
