in reply to the Nerps atlas thanks for the info if i can work
out how to send stuff to you ill get to work on some ideas
straight away.
On the everglades panther idea ill let you in to a
secret of mine and the gms.
once two shadowrunners set up appartments in a basement
and after clening it out found a tabby and a white cat shared
there home , ( the tabby was a talis cat and the white cat was a
small mist lynx but they didnt know that ) well the two people
decide to let the sweet kittys stay on and started giving them
food and taking care of them , Ok so far, then a freind of theres
comes round a troll iniiate with increase int as a spell and
for preactive casts and quickens a lvl 4 (i think ) one on bouth
cats ... Last known the cats where reprograming the video to
watch the shows they wanted and useing the phone to send out for
stuff they wanted. The shadows never found out but cept
wondering why all these things cept ariving and they diddnt pay
or order them.
watch out for animals with smarts they can be a hilarious gm
tool and fun but they can also ruin you.

They got replaced by soybeans :)

Seriously though: advanced technology, agriculture, and food
processing have replaced the need for animal products and byproducts,
IMHO. More or less because synthetic is so much cheaper. And with
the shape the economy is in (lots of poor people) cheap sells. It's
also driven by the profit minded megacorps. The cheaper something
can be made, the more profit can be made off of it, and if you work
with animals you know how much money it costs.

That same economy is space restrictive (smaller appartments rented at
a higher price, more profit) and puts a restriction on pets. Only
the privaleged can indulge in pets, let alone horses.

All IMHO :)
