]Hey,
] If any of you want to see some good Cyberpunk Anima (Animation) look up
]a Japanese series called Bubblegum Crisis. It's got the feel down perfectly.

It's not really cyberpunk, as that is supposed to be much darker, more hopeless.
However, it's good stuff. Realize though that they deal with robots or
"boomers" which are not incorporated into shadowrun. Rather depressing if
you're am infantryman.
Also, try Bubblegum Crash and (if you really want extra dark) try AD Police.

I've been watching Anime for a while and Akira is very SR like,
check out Battle Angel Alita( or Galley ). Most of the characters in it
have cyber enhancements of some sort or another. Another movie that is
not as Sr like but well worth checking out is Venus Wars, biker movie but
really good story and characters. The last, if your really into violence
is Fist of the North Star. Exploding heads, flying body parts, and a
definite must to find the subtitleted version.
later, contact me for more info. I have a good place in SF that
has good prices on all this stuff.

Gunnm is the original series name; Gally is the main character. It drives
people who've read the VIZ manga translations nuts when they see the OAVs
and lots of names are different.

I never much cared for Venus Wars; so sue me.

The scary thing is... the guy who created Hokuto no Ken was inspired by the
old Warner Bros. cartoons. Go figure.

And links to lots more links in my home page :).

If you're playing with Bug Spirits at all, then you
should watch Blue Gender. Futuristic sci-fi, pitting a
rag-tag paramilitary against giant alien insects that
see humans as nothing but food.
Brutally violent even for anime IMO. Do NOT get
attached to ANY of the characters! People die like
flies in this thing.
