This one probably really is covered in a FAQ somewhere, so if someone can
point me to it, I'd be grateful.

I stopped playing Shadowrun back about the time EarthDawn was released, so I
have a mix of 1st and 2nd edition books lying about the house. I've started
collecting the new 3rd edition stuff FanPro is putting out, but what I'd
really like to see somewhere is a list of what books replaced what. For
example, I know in Man & Machine it says it combines information from
Shadowtech as well as about four other books. In most cases it's fairly
obvious, but I'd like to know which books replace some of the ones I haven't
updated yet (as for example, the two NAN books).

So, does anyone know where there is a handy-dandy list of all the old SR
books mapped to the new ones? Or have I just found a good research project
to while away the rainy days?

Lessee, BBB2 became BBB3
All the decking books became Matrix
the Rigger stuff is covered in Rigger 3
There's a 3rd ed Companion
The various tech books became M&M And CC
All the old magic books are rolled into MITS

According to Joseph Cotton, on Thursday 09 September 2004 19:46 the word on
the street was...

Now there's a name I haven't seen in, what, five years or so...? :)

Once I get around to actually finishing and updating the revision of my SR
book reviews site (http://www.xs4all.nl/~gurth/shadowrun) each entry
should have a list of similar books -- including ones replaced by the book
in the entry. Unfortunately, I'd really need to get round to writing up
reviews of all the FanPro books... (Unless there's someone willing to
help...?)
