Another idea. Forgive me if I mis-quote the concept.

Someone her is running a one-shot game in which all the players will be
running in a 'combat biker' race. Besides the 'gel' rounds and the obvious
use of melee weapons, magic is being allowed only if it affects the mage/
rider.

So, a question. Can I Anchor a spell to a gun? The idea is to anchor a
'detect enemies' to the gun, with the qualifier being that the spell only
works in the arc of fire. Then the 'detect' spell would fire (pardon the
pun) either a 'ram' spell or 'magic fingers' spell (or other manipulation
spell) to fire the gun, as long as the 'enemy' is in the arc of fire.

It would make one heck of a gunner...
