I have set up procmail to filter out all mail from this list and put it
in a special group. I am running BSD unix, and always use Pine. Now the
problem is, about 1/5th of the mail sent to mail kills the mailer
deamon. Does this happen to anyone else? I work for computer services
for the school, so it's possible I could put a patch in the OS. Any advice?
Thanks. :)

I have no advice, but I _do_ have a question.
I'm using Pine on my school account (unix)... how do you set up filters for
it? I can't seem to find anything about that anywhere in the config menu's
or anything.

Listserv does corrupt my mailbox in my other university account, whenever I
do a listserv command, such as query...

It could be the same phenominon <da..daaa..daa.dada>

In unix there's a specific program called filter.
Set your .forward file to pipe through the program called filter.

Then set up a file called "filter-rules" in your .pine??? or .elm directory.
I don't know how to redirect it's attention. Mine points to my .elm
directory, because I use ELM.....

Ask your sys-admin or helpdesk for info....

That's your best bet...
