Greetings All,

It's pretty much a given that the corporations have some space
capabilities. I'm assuming that, even in 2060, mass is a determining
factor in the cost of space travel. Do cybernetic enhancements,
especially things such as replacement limbs, add to the mass of a
given person? One part of me says no, otherwise people would not be
able to easily operate with cybernetic limbs. But on the other hand,
if people buy limbs with enhanced capabilities, shouldn't there be
extra weight/mass added?

IMO, Its pretty much a given that cybernetics, especially limbs add to
a persons weight. IIRC, the only cyber that states so is bone lacing
though. The other enhancements are purely up to you.

On the subject of cybernetics adding weight, I have been useing an
exceptional article one of my players found for me before I had a matrix
connection (doesn't low life style suck). The article is called "How much
did you say he weighed?" and it can be found in TSS #9. The article covers
a lot of factors on weight, including cyberenhancements.

I'm glad you like it. I'm hoping I don't have to jack with it too much
after MAN AND MACHINE finally hits the streets.

Actually, there is *some* added mass if you fall back upon something
odd/abstract from the Cybertechnology sourcebook. It had a characters'
weight being reflected by the "Body" attribute of a character. As a
character added cyberlimbs, the "Body" attribute would go up. This in turn
*DID* increase the overall weight (and probably Mass as well) of the
individual.

I have a feeling that "Weight" and "Mass" are going to be getting some

serious lookings-into for the upcoming "Space" considerations.

If it increases weight, it certainly increases mass :) . The
only way to increase weight without altering mass is going to a planet
with heavier gravity than Earth's :) .
