Ansarok, if you are playing in Madagascar, probably far from any major
cities than obviously Deckers arent going to be much help. Most
campaigns that I've been in or have seen run, have taken place in North
America (mostly Seattle). To continue, if you have people who play
Deckers and the campaign at the time will involve no Decking, then have
those players make backup characters which they could use in such
campaigns.

Why does this make ANY difference?

Matrix = Global.

I really don't think I need to elaborate, unless I misunderstood you.

I understand what your saying myth, but the campaign travels all over the
world,
they have gotten nice fixer contacts (a little below the level of Cinnamon
for any of you who remeber cinnamon)
I have plans for them to go all over, including the Tir (both) germany and
many other places, so the decker can be useful in the city.
I suppose I really am not the best GM when it comes to decking, I try to be
fair to the characters but i understand the magic rules much more than the
decker rules.
Any suggestions (anyone) for implementing the decker in a simple, fun and
easy way?

Have you tried making the Matrix runs a single opposed test? Instead of going
step by step through the Matrix run have the Decker state what he wants to
accomplish and assign a single target number. Have him roll his Computer Skill
+ Pool (no programs) while you roll a suitable security rating for the system
he is attacking vs. the Deckers masking. This way the run is accomplished
quickly but there is still a chance for failure. As you become more familiar
with the Matrix rules, you can throw in a full Matrix run at key points of the
adventure.

Just for the record, I think that the VR2 rules are well worth the effort to
learn and use. I have found that a good Matrix run will hold the attention of
the other players, even if their characters are not involved.
