Subject: APDS vs Flechette

I used to think that flechette and this new round I brought up were identical,
but I believe there IS a difference. This a single penetrator, stabilized
for flight. Flechette is like shot in a shotgun; dozens of tiny, irregularly
shaped objects. They kil because of their shape; they don't penetrate
because they aren't stabilized and thus won't always be bointing the right
direction to punch through. An on top of that, they're a good deal smaller
than this individual saboted round.

THAT's why I don't define it as flechette.
