So, the shipment for games to the comic stores in Brisbane (that's
Australia, for those of us who aren't so geographically minded) yester-
day, and, after unpacking all of the goodies this morning, my chummers
and I found that SHADOWTECH STILL FRAGGING ISN'T IN YET !!! What in
Ghost's name is going on? Is FASA still panicking about trying to get
Shadowrun II onto the printing presses, or what? My GM is pulling his
hair out waiting for this book to arrive ... I don't think our next
gaming session is going to be very easy ...

The rules for Shadowrun II sound particularly interesting, especially
the modification to the combat rules. We have an arrogant razorguy in
our runner team who insists on wearing 9/8 armor to *every* slotting
run, even the easy ones. He boasts continually about the last time he
took a wound (probably about 3 months ago -- game time -- and that was
a light wound), and our policy on runs is to eliminate the mages first
on the opposition, so he just wades into combat without a care. The
GM *really* wants to geek him (our GM, as you might have guessed, is a
gentle soul ...), but he doesn't want to up the opposition against us
others, but now, I can almost see his evil grin when I show him the new
rules ...

As for a Shadowrun movie, one of my chummers told me that _Lawnmower_
Man_ (an upcoming movie -- at least, in Australia -- based on Stephen
King's short story) has elements of virtual reality in it. Can someone
clarify this if it's bulldrek?

BTW, I saw a request a few weeks back for Shadowrun conversions of
Cthulhu monsters. My GM (God bless his tender heart) informs me that
_Gamesmaster_ magazine issues #13 and #14 have a SHadowrun adventure
based on the Cthulhu mythos, which includes (obviously) conversions for
a few of the more popular Lovecraftian beasts (there ARE popular Cthulhu
monsters? Uggghh. Not the sort of entities you want to take home and
introduce to the parents, catch my drift?)

PS: Thanks to all those chummers who replied about the _Vampire_ mailing
address.
