Subject: A question about Mageblades ...
Date: Sat, 7 Mar 1998 10:19:58 EST
Okay, this is a technical question of sorts ...

A person is using a mageblade that can only cause stun damage ...

The person strikes someone in the head ... and causes a Moderate Wound overall
(Severe for the head) to the target ...

The question is ... Will the target suffer some form of brain damage or even
an aneurism (sic) from the stun damage occuring within the head ?

Thanks,

Mike

Stunblade, okay, sorted that out...

(whistle blown) "Stun" and "Mana" blade variations of the spell are
quite so
-directable- as the "Physiblade". I mean yeah, the effects are there I guess,
but this is going to be a House Rule/Call Mike...

Oh geesh, I think I see where this is going now. Mike, when I made Mageblade
(and all it's variants) up so long ago, I never intended for it to have such a
"called shot" orientation for the stun/mana variations. Technically, -any-
kind of damage from a "mana type" spell could cause the types of wounds you
are questioning, but the "theatrics" of the spell's actions are left up to the
GM at the time.
