Heyo.

Can't believe I neglected to ask this question...

On the metahuman variants on the SRCompanion, are the modifications =
+ACo-in addition to+ACo- the normal metahuman modifications (ex: a giant =
(Nordic troll) is given a +-5 Strength and no dermal armor in addition =
to the normal troll racial modifiers) or in place of the normal =
metahuman modifiers (the giant receives only the +-5 Strength modifier =
and no other racial modifiers)?

I am assuming this question has been asked before.

Another question I have is how many Force points are needed to lock a =
spell during character creation, and exactly what determines the Power =
Level and Damage Code on a spell?

I'm not a newbie, really+ADs- it's just that I've played Street Sams and =
PhysAds for the past three years and not one magic-user.

Can orichalum be dikoted?

And lastly, is FASA reprinting the hardcover edition to SR3? And is =
anyone out to get rid of a hardcover SR2?

In our game my GM (after recieving advice from unknown sources) =
decided that it's in addition to the other mods. Continuing the example, =
this means the Giant gets +-5 to it's strength in a trade off for the =
dermal armour.

The meta varients only get the modifiers listed, IIRC.

I believe its one force point and the cost of the spell lock in nuyen. What
spell are you wanting to lock? Usually the spell has a base damage code listed
in its discription and the force of the spell determines power rating.

I can understand that.

I am inclined to say no, since I would rather see PCs enchant dikoted weapons.
(TN 8-10 I believe) and I think it would melt in the treatment IMHO,

I picked up a lot of gaming stuff at the last con I wnet to and I think I also
got another hard back SR2.

The modifications listed on the metavarients are in addition to the standard
meta human modifications.

The Giant would get a +5 Strength and no dermal armor as opposed to the
standard +4 Strengeth and dermal armor with Trolls.

If the giant got the mods -in addition- to the normal mods, the giant
would would have 5 + 4 (standard troll mod) = +9 Strength mod.

The way it works is: Any mods listed in the description override the
normal bonus for the base metahuman, otherwise, the base metahuman's
stats still apply.
