Taking a moderate wound and then degrading armor, even though you have to
roll body dice to resist, does seem kinda "out of the ordinary."

To compensate for this, one could instead roll a number of dice equal to
the armor rating of the item.

So, something with 5 ballistic would roll five dice against a target
number of the weapon _if_ the character took moderate damage.
Requiring the char. to take minor damage would reduce the need to roll
the armor dice _every_ time the character was hit by bullets, so as to
not let your armor disappear from strong pea-shooters.

Just a suggestion. You might think about rolling ballistic+impact in all
cases, or let the armor have a target of (damage of weapon)/2, etc.

Of course, using this technique would mean that a character could
possibly die with armor fully intact (getting into Palladium rules about
bypassing armor points).
Again, just a suggestion. If I read something that would possibly work,
I'll use it in my next run (muhahaha).

Um, er, der, could you perhaps explain just what it is you're suggesting? I
can't follow it.

That was me.

And me again.

Well, actually no.

Is what you are suggesting like this: Char resists damge, with noraml
effects. At the same time, the armour
itself resist the same damage, with a Bod
equal to its ballistic?

If that is what you mean, then what target number does the armour use? Would
one subtract its own rating from the power for its own resistance test?

Could you perhaps explain it further, an example wouldn't go astray.
