1. If a mage is fighting an astrally present opponent, say a
spirit, by astrally perceiving and using something like sorcery,
do they use the regular combat pool, or their astral combat pool?

2. Is there a cyber version of BattleTac? A headware device that
gives a direct neural feed of the teams tactical information, and
also carries any use of the Small Units Tactics spec. of Mil. Science.
And if not, why not?

If he's perceiving, he's in astral space. He uses the astral combat pool.

BattleTac is expensive enough as is. (Actually they don't even give a
price because it's not supposed to be for runners to get thier hands on).
Making a cyberversion would be many times greater and not worth the
nguyen.

Sorry, but you're wrong.
If a mage is astrally *projecting* he gets the astral pool.
If he is earthbound he is a lot more vulnerable and only gets the combat
pool (if that).

No, if a magician is perceiving, he's mainly in physical space and
restricted by his physical body. So the combat pool would be the thing
to use IMHO. A projecting magician, OTOH, is not restricted by his
physical body, can use the astral combat pool.

[cyber battletech]

*sigh* The battletech's price is 10 times that of the used parts.

I'd say that a Tac Computer, with a orientation system and a link into a
cyber radio would be able to do what your asking.
