Is this gone from the new edition? (Well, I couldn't find it).

Okay, I was wondering if you all could settle an argument I'm having. In
the Grim it says that Initiates gain an Astral Pool equal to their grade
which they can use for anything they use their Astral Combat Pool or
their Magic Pool "while in Astral Space" for. Now, is the Astral Pool
only applicable for mages who are Astrally Projecting, or do they get
access to the Astral Pool when Astrally Perceiving (i.e., adding to their
Magic Pool since they are technically "in Astral Space)?

It's for Astral Projecting. Basically, you're in Astral Space when you use
your Mental Attributes for your Physical ones. :)

When you're perceiving, you're still in your body.

I don't know ... I'd say that if the action is resolved in astral space,
the astral pool applies. So if you are astrally percieving, you can use
the Astral Pool for spellcasting IFF your target is in astral space.
(And so you couldn't use it to provide spell defense to meatworld targets
while you are astrally projecting, either.)
