Can anybody carry 'home' anything tangible from the metaplanes?

I mean, it's astral. Mere sentiments and ideas.

How can they materialize on earth?

Certain spirits and things are summoned from the metaplanes, correct?
And they have a form (made up of things from the Earth) when they
materialize, correct? So therefore, anything tangible from the
metaplanes could be brought back to earth, made up or contained
within, parts of the environment. That might be nifty. From the Place
of Battle upon the Metaplane of Metal, you bring back some battle
spirit and then place it inside a sword. Instant enchanted sword! I
like it!

produce? The cuckoo clock!

I had a running thought similar to this. I thought it might be neat to have
an object that existed totally in the astral (i.e. a sword or other melee
weapon). It would function normally in the astral but have no counterpart
in the physical world. I'm not exactly sure how to go about it within the
shadowrun rules.

There was once a character in the comicbooks called Magik. She had this
thing called a Soulsword. It looked like a very arcane and nasty sword with
etheral flames and all that. The thing was, it passed harmlessly through
normal people and objects as if it did not exist (just don't drop it), but
it did horrendous damage to magical things/beings. An astral sword might do
the same, only harming things with an astral presence. It would be good to
scare the bejesus out of passers by when you stab them with it :)

Three problems. 1) The Star (Lone Star) would probably arrest you pretty quick. 2) Only
a dual being could hold it while on
the physical plane. 3) If it is Astral only, no one would see it, unless it manifested
which would imply it had intelligence. I am not
so sure I would want such a thing around. It might resent being used as a toy.
