AH-1 and AH-64 share the same role.. AH = Attack Helicopter
The AH-1 is currently in use by USMC and Army, Ah-64 only in use by
Army (hmh, currently means '93... maybe incorrect by now)
And Hellfires are not fire&forget, IIRC...
At least not when I play Comanche... ; )))

Hellfire, I think. I don't know if the US Army has a new ATGM in a state
of near-production; but what I *do* know is that they fund the
development of a Kinetic energy tank-killer missile.

I have no intention of doing so ... just stating where I got my info ...
I don't know enough about military vehicles to despute either Gurth or my
WMP book (btw, notice all the info I posting is from that book? :) ...
for some reason, I have this unexplicable urge to go with what Gurth says
...

Once again, just going by WMP ... someone else on the list did mention
Hellfires being laser guided ... Oh well :) ... Your data's more current
than mine. My WMP book is copyright 1986, reprinted 1988 ... :/
