I'm going no mail latter this week and leaving Thursday for
DragonCon. I'll be wandering around the place (and the bar) just
bullshitting around. Anyone who wants to join me in a drink is welcome.

Ancient cultures believed that names held great power, personal names
more so and they were guarded very closely. To protect themselves, they
answered to another name, because if another discovered their real name,
it could be used against them.

I will be there as well. Since I didn't see any
official SR events, I'll be around the Hack Master
stuff. Actually, I'll be GMing the tournament, so
stop by and say hello. Let us know which bar, so we
can join you as you stare at all those Dawn
look-alikes.

I'm heading down a this bunch from Charlotte (this is my first time
down since I went 10 years ago) so I don't know yet which (if there is
one) they frequent. I plan on breaking out my '98 list shirt so I
actually can be identified. (Hard to be ain't it?)

Unfortunately with Dragon Con so close on the heels of both Origins and Gen
Con, FanPro has been unable to attend the convention, though I know they're
interested. Likewise, due to time and FanPro's not attending, I haven't
been able to really coordinate any gamemasters or games to be held at the
con. I'd like to, but... Right now my hands are pretty full with GC indy
& SoCal, and Origins.

As a note though, a buddy of mine is going to be running an art
booth. He's GMed for me at the conventions in the past, and did Character
Portraits this year for the Origins characters. Good guy, and decent
artist. If you get the chance, check out his booth (No clue what number it
will be) and say hi. :]

He will be manning the Studio DeSade booth: http://www.nigelsade.com/

Actually, there is ONE Shadowrun game:

Midnight at the Malitov Marquis
Shadowrun 3E
$3.00

Every runner must start somewhere.. And a band of rockers wanted to start here..
They are way in over their heads and it is up to the "True" runners to protect
them from the forces of "Evil"..

One Shadowrun game is usually par for the course at DragonCon. It's sad but
true. Since I never get to play, I'm going to try to play one of the sessions
for the game I listed above. Look for the guy in the black teashirt with a
goatee. Heh.

MC, my suggestion is the hotel bar. It's on the main lobby floor so you don't
have to miss any action. Beware though, on Saturday and Sunday night the place
is packed.
