In my game, the caracters can only raise their attributes one point above their
initial value. Exceptionally (I allow this for one attribute or two) they can
raise it by two points. If I agree, they can raise an attribute one point above
the racial maximum but NEVER two points above.
Perhaps it seems odd but I think Schwarzenneger has a strength 5 or 6 and
Einstein an intelligence of 6 or 7, so...
And if anyone has a strength of 6 or higher, he is very muscular and so is
easily recognizable. As an other point, charisma is not beauty, spirits do not
bother about your appearance... Players choose their appearance but I think
they can only be really beautiful if they have a high charisma.
In her case (her for the character, I don't know the player), the pheronomes
make her very attractive but don't really change her beauty.

I think the 1st Ed ruling was more conducive to game balance.
It stated that stats may only be increased ONCE by karma, EVER.

I though Charisma wasn't a measure of beauty, but was the measure of how
well you get along with people.

It is. For charisma read:- strength of character, likeability and command
potential.

At the height of his weightlifting carreer he was around 8; he's down to
around 6 these days.

The arctypical "absent-minded perfesser" himself? Give Einstein a 2,
and the skill "Physics Theory" at 8 or 9.
