Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can aim if you're
defaulting. You can only aim up to half of your skill in a weapon if I
read things right. And if Joe is spending two actions aiming, isn't he
aiming over multiple combat phases - in which case he won't be able to use
any combat pool in his shot.

Congratulations! You've passed my secret test! Your observational
skills are superior and... aww, hell, you're right, I screwed up. Missed a
whole freakin' PARAGRAPH in that Take Aim section...

Adjusted example: Joe's TN is 5 without the aiming (as he can't do it,
which seems unfair, but whatever). In addition, he can only use CP up to
half his Pistols skill, so 2 instead of 5. So Joe gets... 3 successes!
Good roll, Joe! This means Santa can dodge a little easier (but he won't,
it's still TN 7).
This also takes some of the punch out of my argument. But not a lot!
No, I think it still stands! He still hit! And the other examples aren't
affected, not until some other doof brings up some "rule" that I
"missed." ;)
