Yeah, I'd have to agree with that one. There are a lot of weapons that you
can get, if you try. It's just who wants to go through that kind of RL
risk when you can play shadowrun instead?

Which makes me think of something I was thinking about the other day. How
many of you out there agree with me on this one:
I belive that if roleplaying games didn't exist, there would be more
violence. I know that if I didn't have the outlet of killing (in the game)
a car full of LoneStar bacon, that I would be much more tempted to get a
true physical release of some kind. I don't mean that I would go out and
kill people, but I might be starting fights every once in a while. Not
that I'm some kind of psycho waiting to boil over before I park my ass in a
tower somewhere with the Standard McDonalds Hunting Rifle (AK47). But I
hope ya'll get what I'm talking about.
The idea of becoming a mercenary is quite intriguing, anyway. I come from
a family of OSS and CIA (cousin (deceased), great-uncle(retired)), and have
often wondered what it must be like, and with shadowrun, I can get that
feeling without losing the convenience of having a porn shop right around
the corner.

I dunno.

Maybe I'm just psycho.

Without furhter observation, I'd say that has some possibility. It was
the pron shoppe thing that gave it away, sorry, not the spook family. :)
(I grew up in one of those, and I'm as sane as the average shrink.)

Let me put it to you this way- growing up, I thought everyone who wasn't a
teacher, cop, firefighter, doctor or nurse worked for the CIA, FBI, NSA or
the Pentagon until I was about five. Military/intelligence (execpt for the
Marines- I had a cousin who joined the Corps and has since been disowned),
law enforcment, EMS and firefighting are the family buisnesses.
