that I do *not* own a Limited Edition Shadowrun 3 Hardcover sourcebook
(aka "BABY"). Though I had the opportunity, I never had plans to own one,
nor will I plan to obtain one in the near or distant future. My
second-run softcover has enough errors and misprints as it is,
thankyouverymuch.
Let me also preface the remainder of my message by saying that my
comments are not directed at any particular individual, and are meant to
be thought-provoking rather than simply vitriolic.
Having said that, I have but one comment for all the whiners who
think that putting the BABY number on a shirt is "elitist,"
"snobbish,"
or symbolic of "bragging":
Grow a thicker skin.
Or to put it another way, perhaps:
Who the hell cares?
In the overall scheme of the universe it's as meaningless as
whether or not you have a complete set of Beanie Babies and about as
ridiculous in the context of perceived "social status." If your biggest
concern is that others out there are "excluding" you by having their
numbers put on the shirt, then perhaps you should ask yourself if you
really are the kind of human being who is *worth* going out of
their way to include.
Or if you really do have a hang-up about it, look at it this way:
How are you going to know whom to bump off for their BABY if you don't
know who's got a good one? :)
