I was listening to NPR today about the sudden rise in mice
population in a town in Florida and it started me thinking, "Gee, I would
love to be down there with my cats." When the happy thoughts about
Babooshka and Geisha chasing an overabundant supply of mice faded I
started to think about it in terms of Shadowrun. First I was thinking
about how such a dramatic animal population growth could be or was tied
to the Awakening and then about the upcoming Year of the Comet story arc
possibly setting off another spike. I think such events would be a
harbinger to Haley's Comet. Just something to think about, and maybe
incorporate now into your campaigns.

It's good to be back, for however long I can spare the time.

Ancient cultures believed that names held great power, personal names
more so and they were guarded very closely. To protect themselves, they
answered to another name, because if another discovered their real name,
it could be used against them.
History repeats itself.

Hey MC, its good to have you back. Yep, something like that could very
easily be worked into a story arc. I've seen ones similiar dealing with odd
animals increasing their populations in the swamps. Bayou breeds strange
animals.

Harbinger...humph. Just get rid of the damn mice.

My house is currently being built in the exact area where those mice are spawning. I
think it's a plague.
