Ummm... just for the record, arrows are not ballistic projectiles.
Ballistic projectiles include bullets, shrapnel from grenades, NarcoJect
rounds, and the like. Slower projectiles like thrown objects and arrows are
not. Bullet Barrier will not stop arrows.

You are correct about the arrows thing..I forgot that goes in with
missle weapons and missle barrier..But I don't thing that shrapnel would
be stoppen by bullet barrier..I will have to look at the spell again..

How about *really* fast-moving projectiles? Shrapnel from fragmentation
grenades, stuff from rail guns/mass drivers, god forbid an ICBM or something
like that.

No, I'm actually NOT that much of a munchkin. I'm just being hypothetical. =)

I can't find my Grim so I can't look it up but I really don't think you
can count shrapnel as a Ballistic projectile..

stuff from rail guns/mass drivers,

I would say if you had one of these that fired a rnd similar to that of a
50 cal or smaller I would say it would work bigger and we are talking
about needing a much stronger spell..

god forbid an ICBM or something

This would be a Missle [note the M at the end of ICBM] and then again we
are talking about a much more powerfull Missle Barrier..

I don't think that you'd need a stronger spell, I mean this one will effect the
rail gun, and the ICBM, bringing them down from 60D to about 52D, if force 8
barrier. Either way the target is paste. Its like expecting your armoured long
coat to stop a Panther Assult Cannon round.... NOT.

A _railgun_? I think the ICBM wouldn't matter....Think about it, if an ICBM
detonates four or five meters away from you instead of right on top of you,
the difference in blast radii is not going to be all that much. Railguns in
SR are probably limited to large military vehicles <tanks and warships>,
unless you are a _real_ munchkin, that shouldn't be a problem <but then,
neither should ICBMs.....>.

A general rule of thumb, if you use ballistic armor rating against it, it's
a ballistic projectile. There are some exceptions, like gel rounds, but the
rule of thumb usually holds true.
