Hi chummers!

I have a question concerning (magical) barriers cast on a spell lock focus.
What the hell happens after the barrier rating is lowered by bullets? Does
the mage hafta cast the spell once more to have a "new" Bullet Barrier or
does it somehow regenerate?

Spell locks actually have some drawbacks when it comes to barriers.
Basically, if I remember correctly from the previous discussion about
this on the list, you have to turn the lock off and back on again in
order to rejuvinate the barrier...which brings it back up to fully
operational status. (Normally, the barrier would refresh at the casting
mage's next action, but for a locked spell this wouldn't make sense.)

Hope that helps. :)

Reduced barrier rating is building up the next action aof the mage
completely if they are not reduce to zero; in this case they are plainly
fragged and you would indeed have to make a new one (including one point of
Karma..)

You can certainly play with that rule if you like, but I (among others)
would view this as a bit harsh. Having to expend 2 simple actions
turning the lock off and back on again seems sufficiently limiting to
me. Just my opinion.

Justin :)
