Subject: BBB3 Cover Art?
Date: Mon, 1 Feb 1999 11:27:04 -0500
Just a simple question. Maybe. The cover art shown for the BBB3 on
Amazon.Com? Is that what fasa released before the final decision was
made? Or is it different art for the latest printing?

Take a look,
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1555603610/qid‘7885973/sr=1-20/002-2980310-4833848

Note: The URL is probably word wrapped and will need to be cut and
pasted.

I have a feeling FASA must have given them permission to use a
"placeholder" image for the cover art initially, since Amazon.com had
a listing for the BBB3 well before it's August release.

It would seem that no one has changed it over to the real thing yet.

You could always order a BBB3 through them, and ask for your money
back when they're unable to ship out a copy of the book with the cover
depicted on the website. (And while you're at it, go over to
Borders.com and order New Seattle from them. Their listing for it on
the website says they've got it in hardback!)

Talking about coverart and all ... what covers do you people have
for Super Tuesday! ? I have one with a slighly torn poster of Dunky
but if you check out the FASA web page they have some picture of a
dude with a star behind it ... are they different prints/releases or
something ? or is it the same ... to lazy to update ...

According to Stefan, at 4:54 on 6 Feb 99, the word on
the street was...

Mine's the same.

FASA's catalogs often have different artwork from the actual books,
probably because the catalog gets printed before the book is ready. My
guess is that the same thing happens with the web page, at least for new
books. For others, they might have used the catalog's art for the web site
even though the actual book was already available.
