No, I can't give the citation, but I think I know the logic here. Imagine,
if you will, a munchkin with beta grade tactical computer 4...

Ok, forget that. I 'spose that the whole idea depends on what tech/time
period you play in. By the book, no. (it's in there, somewhere.) But if
your in a far-future type of scenario, then why not? (Say, 2070?)

It's all GM call...

Actually - why not just a beta-grade Tac 1 or Tac 2 ? Then the smallest
sensory enhancements (essencewise) that you can find. If you play with
the numbers you'll probably get scared. I think a sane GM would try to
keep the tacticxal computers as the LAST thing to make the alpha/beta
market - and awfully expensive and hard to find even after a long time in
gaming years.

BTW: Tom Dowd apparently set the essence cost of the level 3 and 4
tactical computers at 5 and 6 essence points respectively.
