Seeing as how everyone is hot to trot about putting biotech into mages,
here's a couple more ideas. When Shadowtech first came out, I thought the
reason for biotech was so that mages could get the benefit of enhancement. But
then I found out, and after a fashion, it makes sense. Even if you clone off
new tissues to be used in biotech, it has to be changed some way on a genetic
level for it to be the new organ that it is. (How many people do you know with
orthoskin in your dorm or apartment building? :) ) So the DNA is different, and
it will mess with a mages finely tuned raport with the astral. How much more
is a personal question that each GM should decide for themselves, but I like
about half essence cost, without really affecting essence, just the magic
pool.
