This get s a bit complicated and is subject to interpretation. In
general the rules most of us use, is that body index does
contribute to essence loss. For instance.
I have a body index of 2, 1.5 points of cyberware, so I have
6-2-1.5 = 2.5 (round down) so I have a magic rating of 2 for this
character. There is and has been debate about this, and the
DLOH didn't like it either. Expect to see this fixed/clarified etc
when the new cyberware/bioware book comes out this year.
(And yes the above character would be subject to geasa)

And verily, did Davidson, Chris hastily scribble thusly...

|DLOH? Not sure I know that one...

Read the FAQ then.
It's always a good idea.
(Not knowing what DLoH stands for confirms that you haven't read the
shadowrn FAQ. It's a specialised little acronym used just by us, and the
other iTribe lists)
