second: once again I'm behind the curve, what is BitB?

Third: Also, I don't feel that any GM should be bound by the FASA timeline.
If you want Dunkie to have a great four years as prez, then go for it. I
think that people IM (very seriously) HO are way too caught up in FASA
canon. Steve Kenson and FASAMike would be the first ones to say "If it's a
fun game do it" So, if your guys want to do a Vampire game (why?) then go
for it. Wanna do a Shadowrun in space (hey is that Miss Piggy? ... who you
callin' fat? ,,, hey yAH ... ok resist 12D stun) then play that way.

If you want to flame take it off line, I'll throw private carp with the best

Blood in the Boardroom. The big book of well.. interesting corp stuff, ties
in Steve Kensons Technobabel novel.

Agreed. Feeling bound to Anything FASA has done is just plain silly.
With RPGs, you tend to get out what you put in -- the more effort you make
into making it fun and "your own", the more fun it's going to be.

I have to agree with that also.... In our campaign, we allow vampires as PCs... Also, the
vampire rules for shadowrun (in my opinion) suck... If anyone likes them- sorry... its
just
an opinion. We made new vampire rules, and threw them in accordingly. There are
downfalls to Vampire PCs... cant run in daylight (not that this is normal anyway). Vampire
hunters are another problem.. as are firecannons/flamethrowers and lasers.

Ooooh Nifty... care to share? I didn't like the regen rules so I changed
them ... all critters with regen heal back 1 box per point of essence -
Body Index per turn (Yes this means I allow Regeners with cyber/bioware
but let's not get into that ... if you want to get into a "heated
discussion over that topic, do it off list ... with someone else).

Actually, if you get the Disney Channel you can find new (or at least
newer, from the recent time they returned to TV) episodes.

Nickelodeon may still be running the old Muppets. I know they
were here as recently as March of this year. Some places are likely to
be showing the reruns.

Hey Otter I wuldn't worry about using the name Eclipse. I've got a troll
in my group using that name. Not to mention thre's only so many names
people tend to use.....most likely thay're other shodowrunners with the
name Stormcrow and other names....at least you can admit you didn't try
to rip off the name from a book.

True, but then the fact that this guy was a Spider Shaman kind
of bugs me. Pun intended. :-)

I am sure that it is very hard to have an original name in the
shadows, I have managed it with a few of my other characters (Warloc &
Twlight....I have yet to see either of those names in anything printed),
but there still could be runners with those names in any part of the
world.

Ok, so this was taken directly from the SR Companion.... but I think it fairly
well shows that common street names are going to be fairly common... after
all, Eclipse sounds a lot more intimidating than Big Boober... and people want
to sound impressive, especially when they're not.

I have always wondered how you could walk up to a
contact and inquire about a runner and the contact have the slightest
idea which of the 16 Nemesis you were talking about. This would seem to
be a problem in rep building, if there is one Nemesis (likely the first)
who is a complete badass and pulls off the sweetest runs ever and at the
same time there's a 14 year old by the same name popping gangers in the
butt with his bb gun to get them to move off the corner at 23rd and
Mason.

(First guy)
"Hey man look up Nemesis, I here he just ran the 'Raku
arcology at noon on Christmas and no one saw him."

(Second Guy
"I heard he spends all his time strung out on BTL's in
Redmond taking pot shots at stray cats."

(Third guy)
"Naw man that dude isn't even in town, he got a job back
running guns in the gulf. Won't be back for a month or more."

(First & Second guys)
"Huh??"

How do these people ever get anything done?

The name Twilight is used by the evil, free roaming spirit in the Shadowrun
adventure "Total Eclipse". This is the same adventure that involves the

totally. I got mine well in the most odd way. I was working late one
nite 4 years ago at wal-mart in my hometown. My buddy darren was making
comments on people's names. I said "what kind of name is Darren anyway
sounds like a gopher." He went off on a tirade and asked me if I had a
nickname. I said no. He suggested. Grandmaster, GFunk, HeavyHomie, I
said look I'm white, 18, and don't wear my pants down to my ankle gimme
something I can use! He said, how 'bout BigDaddy. It stuck. ;)

Yes, well, that's how you end up with streetnames like "The Naked Dwarf" (who
has got to be my all time favorite character, in any system... at least,
before Geyswain ate him, that rat bastard).
