>Osterhaid (:, I sympathize with you. On the one hand, you try to bring up

The best way to get a point across to your players is to be about as subtle
as a stampede of elephants. If they want a fight, let them have it. Just
arm the other side with everything / anything you can find. It's unfair,
yes. But it gives your players something to chew on.

>Now, to be really nasty, give the NPCs their very own KARMA POOL. ANd don't be
>afraid to use it.

But Karma pools are supposed to be for the GOOD GUYS (Shaddap Tyger!
>SMACK< OUCH!)

>Now, write an adventure. Maybe the party encounters a Masked mage in a bar,
>or they are opposing teams on a Shadowrun (ever see Shiawase get hit by
>runners from two sponsors? CONFUSION). Adjust to taste.

I've always had fun with the 'sticky-fingered merlin'. He's a mage whih a
'magic fingers' spell lock, with a mind of it's own. The party pulls a gun
on him, the mage holds up the sam's firing pin. And so on. I play this
guy as an appologetic type "Oh, terribly sorry, did you need this?"

>Oh, Tyger: why don't you flesh that chart out before posting it? If it takes
>too long, fine, but the more complete it is and the better you can explain the
>direction you want to go in, the more time we save later.

You got it. But, saving time on this board? Oxymoron? Naaahhh...

>J Roberson

(Cut to the water. A lone swimmer. "Come on in, the water is great!")
Da dumph...
