Is Bliss cumulative with the Pain Resistance Adept Power? What about
Damage Compensators? or High Pain Tolerance?

For that matter, is High Pain Tolerance cummulative with Damage
Compensators and the Adept Power?

An what about task pool dice? Plenty of items give a task pool, but I
couldn't find anywhere that they are or are not cumulative.

The question would be: after damage exceeds the level of the
compensators / the power, how do you feel the pain?
Say, you got Damage Compensators Lev. 3 - they "cancel" a moderate
wound, right?
a) If you suffer four points of damage, you feel pain at a level like
that you actually suffer from, in this case, in moderate wound, cause
your compensators cease to function and let you "feel" all boxes
b) you get four points of damage, but the Compensators let you only
"feel" the one box above thier level

In case a), you shouldn't get any benefits from a High Pain Tolarance
In case b), you should get them, cause you can ignore the relatively
little pain that comes through the "filter" (the Damage Compensators).

Uh, was the understandable? :)

In Shadowtech, it specifically says that (a) is correct. So I guess
they are pretty much mutually exclusive.

Only the adept power and the bioware are explicitely not cumulative.
However, I suspect that since all the mentioned effects depend on changing
how the nrevous system responds to pain, they probably use the same (or
similar) mechanisms. The multiple low level ones whould probably just
produce the same, low level change, through mutiple paths. IMO, they would
not be cumulative, or at least not fully so. Something like getting only
half the effect of the lesser bonuses might make sense.

If it doesn't say they are not, I can't see why they would not be
cumulative. However, I think the limit on how many pool dice you can use at
once is the same as any other pool use. It is my assumption that if more
than source of task pool dice can aid a skill, any of the available dice can
be used, up to the normal limits on pool use.
Of course, the task pool from the encephalon and cerebral booster must be
usable for the skill (it must be a natural skill, and of the right kind),
and you can ONLY use the pool from the chipjack expert driver for skillsofts
it is running (and you can't generally use other pool dice for those). I
don't think theres any way to get more than a couple simultaneous sources of
task pool for one skill, unless there is some source I'm forgetting.

They work exactly like the physad power of Pain Resistance -- i.e. with
level 3 damage compensator, you subtract 3 boxes from your actual damage
to find TN and initiative modifiers: with 4 or 5 boxes damage, you get a
+1/-1, with 6 to 9 boxes a +2/-2.

With the High Pain Tolerance edge, I'd say only the higher level applies --
either the edge or the bioware, but not both. Same for everything else
with this effect unless they're specifically mentioned to be cumulative.

Probably not, though it may become a problem if there are many things that
give task pool dice. (Which there aren't, but we don't know what the
future and house rules will bring.)

I guess that is not really a problem if you already have the skill at a
reasonable level (above 2).
