I guess I'm not an artist :)

Gurth Sed:
Blue back with silver belly, AFAIK (that's how I painted my Ral Partha
figure of Dunkelzahn, anyway, after doing some research into it). The main
sources for this were Dragon #199, which says on page 82: "Dunkelzahn is a
silver- and blue-scaled great western dragon," and the front cover of
Dunkelzahn's Secrets, which shows the top of his head to be blue. My
reasoning is that, if his head is blue, then his back will be as well.

I painted mine metallic blue with silver underbelly, blue ink wash to
finish it.

Dragon Magazine #199 - there was an article about Dunkelzahn in it. You can
find a PDF copy of it here:

Well it isn't the big D but I (and a friend of mine) did a GW Dragon Masters
(old high elf dragon) model with the scales going up from a deep matt
"madonna blue" (that's not the one that married Guy Ritchie) at the roots
through paling tones up to a faint silver edge, a blue and silver scaled
dragon... only I dropped it when I moved house, wrecked a good chunk of the
paint job and shattered the thing into its component parts.

This is AFAIK from Dragon #199, as in Dragon magazine issue #199.
Don't worry Ral Partha didn't produce a Shadowrun Dragon #199 miniature or
anything like that...

Dragon is one of the magazines that were published by T$R since the dark
ages, and is now done by of Wizards of the Coast. Issue 199 is from
November 1993 (they must be at about by 300 now).

If you want to find a copy of the whole magazine, I think you'll have to
look far and wide :) About the only thing worth having it for, for an SR
player, though, is Dunkelzahn's stats, and since Tzeentch has put those up
on the WWW you won't need to bother even for that. Just about everything
else in the article is repeated in Super Tuesday!.

To my knowledge, they sell all of the back issue Dragons on CD now.
Don't remember the price or how comprehensive it is, just that I saw
it on a shelf a few monthes ago.
