Subject: Body armors revisited

Sorry to dredge this up again, but there was a special on TLC on
the other night highlighting modern body armors. The show
demonstrated new kevlar armors that can easily line regular
clothing like t-shirts, jean jackets, etc. Yes...thin enough to wear
under your clothes. The new weave used to develop this armor can
stop a .44 magnum at point blank range cold. It also cannot be
pieced by knives, icepicks, arrows, etc. They even showed the
inventor demonstrating...he actually shoots himself in the chest
with a .44 magnum...once he does that, he turns and immediately
begins shooting targets. The special weave is able to disperse the
kinetic energy of the bullet to a point where an individual is able to
recover in very little time. Anyone else see this?
