Fields of Fire attributes this to breakthroughs in armor tech made in the
early 21st century, IIRC. Wearing a reasonable amount of armor can be a
real lifesaver in SR, especially if your Body is high, but also if it's
only average. An attack needs to be pretty powerful to hurt someone with
high Body and good armor, which is one of the reasons why I let highly
trained NPCs fire 6-round FA bursts rather than two 3-round BF bursts...
