Okay folks, the story here is funny enough (and I can just see this happening
to us, as we've gotten into the joke of proximity triggers in the games here
too), but with all the comments about "Professionalism", I guess that little
topic comes around on me.

I would say that Padre is, for the most part, a professional in so far as he
can be. Of late, we've been coming into a lot of questions concerning
Professional Morality and Ethics. Take yesterday.

We were in a situation where there were several individuals that were within
our ability to save (ignoring the RA:S book for now btw), but if we did save
them all, it came to the topic of a MUCH larger number of people would be
killed (Mike B. can keep quiet on this btw ;/). It came down to a question
of ethics, at least IMO. Save them, and let the craft collide with it's
destination, or destroy the craft while it was still a safe distance?

What a thought. I, as a real person, am not entirely certain I could do that
without shedding some major levels of humanity. Would I vs. Can I?

And as for "Professionalism vs. Wounded in Action" (as Gurth made a comment
above earlier), THAT kind of grinds on me. A Professional would not like
getting hurt, but if they can minimize the damage, I am certain they would
(less of a mess thus less of a response required, on either side of the
responding coin).

In the end, Padre' and the group all made the decision based upon the
comparison of the "Good of the Many, Outweigh the Good of the Few or the One."
Recalled the Worker Loa (Kenny), then sent Kenny (the drone) and Pip (larger-
than-normal Steel Lynx who is going up to HHH today) out with the primed
demolitions package. We got out of town with a few survivors, and sat back
and watched our decision take shape.

All of this for Karma???????????
