What are the other 2?

Can you say "Toxic Free Insect Spirit"? - Bug spray doesn't work, especially
a mosquito shaman learning blood magic being in a spirit pact with it, or
the spirit has learnt the sacrificing metamagic.

Also, if a blood mage or insect shaman was on the run, I wonder if they
turned up on the door step of Big D's estate lawyers, would they get the
million bucks if they willingingly cooperated? I can see a blood mage doing
this if they escaped being sacrificed and being made into a blood spirit
familiar like in the books, but I doubt a bug shaman would do it (unless a
male mantid shaman is destined to be implanted, or one species hates another
and wants to give the authorities the dirt on their enemies).

I wonder if a player character could learn the sacrificing metamagic, then
collect the million dollars (probably means the character would have to be
retired though, but it is a good "out" to end the story line for a character
hitting the bit time).

I am thinking about writing a module about a female mantid shaman, who has
some sort of hunter personality (favourite weapons: barret sniper rifle and
Ares Viper Slivergun), who helps out the players (who I hope don't find out
is a bug shaman, otherwise they cash in the reward) on occasion, getting
beefier as she hunts down her targets (karma) and becomes the perfect host
(with an increase willpower +4 spell lock/sustaining focus she could become
a good merge, plus a ritual of transfer to give the spirit all of her karma,
starting it at force 1 or 2 and getting boosted a lot, picking up a lot of
free spirit abilities in the process). Possibly I would take the physad
magical adept option if I was feeling particularly nasty, having her
specialize in health spells and illusions, rather than high powered combat
spells.

Alright, according to my players, here they are:

1. Harlequin's Back
2. Renraku Arcology: Shutdown (and Brainscan)
3. Bug City

They didn't like HB because of all the esoteric knowledge one must have to
decipher some of the clues. (The gun-bunny didn't like it cause, of course,
he didn't have all of his toys. The rigger thought the rigged tyranosaurs
were hilarious!)

I think you can understand about RA:S. Here's a nice short exchange between
myself and the gun-bunny (GB)-

GM: "So you're walking down the corridor?"
GB: "Yes, what do I hear, see, and/or smell? And I have my minigun out and
it's spooled up."
GM: (Thinking of grinning...) Alright, you don't see much out of the
ordinary, it's just another corridor like all the rest. You do, however hear
some sort of humming behind the walls on either side. There's a faint smell
of ozone, too, and it's getting stronger as you walk down the corridor."
GB: "Huh, okay, I'll continue on down. Do I see anything on Ultrasound?"
(thinking back to the Ruthenium Polymered Kanga-CatsT.)
GM: "Nope, but the humming and smell of ozone are getting louder and
stronger." (waits for it...)
GB: "Uh huh, whatever. I'll keep walking down the corridor-"
GM: "What's your Body? <egmg>" (Can you imagine what's about to happen?)
GB: "Huh? Why? Um, it's 9. What's going on???"
GM: "Well, it's like this. As you take another step, your world suddenly
goes brilliantly white-"
GB: "My flare comp kicks in, automatically."
GM: (glaring) "As I was saying, brilliantly white. A discharge of pure
electricity arcs from the wall on your left to the wall on your right,
THROUGH you. Roll your body.)
GB: "Can I, uh, roll Combat Pool?"
GM: "Oh sure..."
(sounds of dice rolling. the GM smiles, the player grimaces)
GM: "Well, unfortunately, you don't get enough successes. Your character
takes a Deadly Wound. (more dice rolling) uh oh, looks like a cyberware
system got hit, too. (another dice roll) Cyber-eyes are offline, MBW is
offline. You are lying on the floor, feeling abit crispy as you pass out..."

Cost him a mint to get his MBW replaced, and boy was he upset. It humbled
him a bit, though, so I got my point across. I also had given him plenty of
warning. Now they always ask what they hear and smell as they go into
corridors, it's rather entertaining...

Bug City, as I said before, is going to be exactly what they think they
want. Lots of gun fighting....

Um, correct me if I am wrong, but if they are spirits, ranged weapons are
going to do nothing (except on flesh forms or gangs), unless they have
access to chemical rounds loaded with bug poison.

Now, if I was playing that game, you wouldn't get me within 100 kilometres
of Chicago, unless you knocked my character unconscious and kept him
sedated, then loading him aboard a plane and pushed him out of the plane
with a static line parachute pack as you fly over.

There are other things that bite besides insects in Bug City, bud. And
in there, bullets aren't only good fer shootin'.

Hey, no fair warning his players! ;)

Yes, yes indeed. Ranged weapons are ineffective...to a point. But he doesn't
know that...yet. And besides, who said anything about it being in Chicago?

According to Robert Fanning, on Sun, 08 Jul 2001 the word on the street was...

You are wrong :) Ranged weapons will work, but the spirits are going to get
plenty of armor against them (twice their Essence, in fact), and it comes on
top of the "real" armor that true forms already have. Force 4 beetle
spirits are always a good example, with their 16 points of armor...
