I was reading deckers intiative in the SRII mainbook, and came across
something interesting. It said that a decker gets 1d6 plus reaction while
in the matrix, plus an addition d6 +2 to reaction per reaction increase, and
he gets an additional d6 if he is using pure cybernetic command (I am
assuming this means a C^2 deck). Would this mean that if a decker had a C^2
deck with a response of 2, he would have 4d6 (1d6 + 2d6 +1d6) to roll for
initiative or am I reading this wrong. Just curious. :)

Yes he/she does. He would get 4d6 reaction + 4 for inititive in the matrix.
Sad isn't it. :)

just remember that damage taken with a pure cybernetic link is heavier than
normal (VR).

How is damage different?

+2 TN to resist the Light Stun wound you normally take when your MPCP takes
damage, it says in a deeply-hidden sentence in VR (page 49, 3rd paragraph under
Simsense Overload).

Yeah, but hey number crunchers.....If he had a head deck, response increase
of 3 and it was a sculpted system..........(6d6) whoa. love them number
crunchers

Actually, I believe you can do this with a normal deck. You still need
the deck for the hardware and programs in stuff, but the decker just
accesses it from his datajack. Basically the deck just sits in his lap.

What's a sculpted system?

A system that does not look like the "Matrix-standard" (aka UMS) but has been
built to look like something else, for instance the inside of an office, a
castle, a forest, a Space Invaders game, and so on. Anything that does not look
like the squares, hexes, and triangles of the UMS is usually a sculpted system.
