Actually, laser sights are incompatible with smartlinks. You can
use one or the other, but not both.

I do, but only with certain restrictions (we have a house rule
that governs the use of cyber image mag and smartlinks).

...except that +8 cover adds +4 to *your* target numbers as well,
which makes your aim less useful unless you have a skill higher than 8.

You'd be surprised. At a target number of 10 (which is easy to
get to), a person with a weapon skill of six, dumping in 6 combat pool is
(statistically speaking) going to get *one* success. If the target has
any dodge available at all, it is likely that this will actually be a
miss. The it doesn't matter how much damage the weapon you're using
inflicts, as you haven't actually hit anything.
